Getting in, and what happens next
There's no ATAR requirement and no interview. Most applications are decided within five business days.
Entry requirements
School leavers
Completion of Australian Year 12, or an equivalent secondary qualification. You don’t need an ATAR and we don’t use one.
Mature age applicants
If you’re 20 or over on the first day of the trimester and didn’t complete Year 12, apply as a mature age applicant. We assess work history, prior study and life experience case by case. Plenty of our applicants come this way.
English language
All teaching and assessment is in English. If your secondary schooling wasn’t in English you may need to demonstrate proficiency. Specific requirement to confirm.
Technology
A computer capable of running current software and a reliable internet connection. For the IT diploma you’ll need to be able to install development tools. Minimum specification to confirm.
Recognition of prior learning
Previous study or substantial relevant work experience may reduce the number of units you need. Apply for recognition at the same time as you apply for the course.
Four steps
-
01
Enquire or apply
Either speak to us first or go straight to the application. Applying costs nothing and doesn't commit you.
-
02
Send your documents
Proof of identity, your highest completed qualification, and a Unique Student Identifier. If you don't have a USI yet you can create one free at usi.gov.au.
-
03
Receive your offer
Your offer sets out the units, the fee, the census date and what you're agreeing to. Read the census date carefully. It's the last day you can withdraw without paying for the unit.
-
04
Accept and enrol
Accept the offer, choose your units and your payment method, and complete your Commonwealth assistance form if you're using FEE-HELP. Orientation opens a fortnight before the trimester starts.

Talk to someone who knows the course
Enquiries go to a real person on our admissions team, not a queue. Tell us what you’re considering and we’ll come back to you within one business day with a straight answer, including when the course isn’t the right fit.
